Our schools should be among the best, with outstanding staff and exemplary facilities that support every child\u2019s development and safety. A healthy learning environment requires that maintenance be prioritized and that a clear plan be implemented to address mold and neglect. We place strong emphasis on early intervention and accessible support services so that children and families receive assistance quickly when needed. We will bridge the gap between parental leave and preschool and ensure moderate fees to ease the burden on families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We will build a safe and progressive school environment.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bridge the gap between parental leave and preschool<\/strong> through structured admissions twice a year, in September and January.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accelerate improvements to school playgrounds <\/strong>in collaboration with students, staff, and parents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Implement comprehensive renovations of school buildings <\/strong>according to a clear timeline to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Improve traffic safety for children <\/strong>and reduce vehicle speeds near schools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Improve access to counseling and support services,<\/strong> with faster response times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Complete preschool construction<\/strong> develop long-term plans for other preschool facilities such as M\u00e1nabrekka and S\u00f3lbrekka.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ensure equal access to extracurricular activities<\/strong> for all children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Strengthen cooperation between schools and sports clubs <\/strong>and intergraded services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Support professional development<\/strong> of teachers and staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ensure high-quality special education<\/strong> and individualized support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Evaluate a new preschool model<\/strong> in which children\u2019s interests are the guiding priority along with parent's and teacher's.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delay the school start time by 20 minutes<\/strong> and reintroduce a morning meal program to reduce stress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Menntun og vell\u00ed\u00f0an barna er mikilv\u00e6gasta fj\u00e1rfesting Seltjarnarness.
